This device is a DIY diagnostic tool for older Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep passenger vehicles and other vehicles that use Chrysler's proprietary CCD-bus and/or SCIbus to communicate with the outside world. The scanner can be directly connected to an OBD2 female connector or 2 kinds of OBD1 connectors using adapter cables. At its heart the scanner is a custom Arduino Mega board with circuits to interface with said buses. It is fully compatible and programmable with Arduino IDE via Micro USB, FTDI or ISP-10 AVR programmer.

Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles can all be scanned and re-programmed with the DRBIII package. Package includes DRB-III, all required cables, storage case and dual DVD's containing all reprogramming files available as of December 2009. [Note: Newer flash files if released, can be purchased on an as needed basis from Chrysler flash site.] DRB-III model year coverages are from 2007 back to the mid 90's. Also available is an add-on optional PCMCIA card that allows the servicing of vehicles as far as the mid 80's on all Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles. Access is to all systems and all functions.

CAN was selected as a worldwide automotive standard for its robust error-handling and error-detection capabilities. The wiTech VCI Pod works using the wiTech diagnostic software application. The wiTech scan tool/diagnostic software is a PC based diagnostic system for Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and North American Fiat vehicles. wiTech utilizes a Vehicle Communication interface (VCI) to connect the vehicle to the PC and perform diagnostics, reprogramming and security functions. 2010 - 2015

The Mopar Secure Micropod II is a Chrysler dealer level diagnostic tool that replaces the existing wiTECH VCI POD and Chrysler Starmobile scan tool. The original Micropod II, Made in the USA and it is the only factory interface that works with wiTECH 2.0 FCA subscription for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Fiat, and Alfa Romeo.

Mopar Diagnostic Pod (MDP) is the newest diagnostic interface for wiTECH 2.0. It is to replace the MicroPod II diagnostic tool. The difference between Micropod2 and MPD is it supports the new CAN-FD and Ethernet (DoIP) protocol.
