Scan Tool Diagnostics
The Toyota Diagnostic Tester is no longer supported and replacement parts are not available from Toyota. The last Software release for the Toyota Diagnostic Tester was version 14.1 and was issued in April 2007. Version 14.1 will provide diagnostic support through the 2007 Model Year and reprogramming support for calibration files released up to April 2007.
Vehicle Reprogramming
The Toyota Diagnostic Tester scan tool can be used for all flash reprogrammable Toyota/Scion/Lexus ECMs, 2001 through April 2007. The Diagnostic Tester scan tool is not recommended for service reprogramming operations introduced after April 2007.
Toyota/Scion/Lexus ECMs can be reprogrammed using either the Toyota/Scion/Lexus factory scan tool, or the Vetronix Mastertech scan tool. The ECM reprogramming function is only available with the authentic Toyota factory scan tool software which runs on either of the above mentioned scan tools. Scan tool software version requirements are specified in applicable Technical Service Bulletin (TSB)/Service Communication (SC) documents, which can be accessed with a subscription to this website.
Vehicle recalibration using this scan tool requires use of the following:

- PC Interface Cable (P/N 01001090) to transfer data from PC to scan tool
- ECU calibration files (available through this site)
