Rivian's pivot to Ill. plant for R2 model saves time, money vs. future Georgia site
<p>CEO RJ Scaringe says using Rivian's existing plant in Normal, Ill., will allow R2 production in the first half of 2026 and save $2.25 billion compared with a later start at a future Georgia factory.</p>
