Toyota plows record $8 billion more into new N.C. battery plant
<p>Toyota more than doubled its investment in a new N.C. battery plant with an additional $8 billion, which will increase the number of planned battery production lines to 10 from two. The phased build-out will provide batteries for EVs, hybrids and PHEVs, Toyota said.</p>
