Next-gen Corvette ZR-1 undergoes high speed testing in Germany

A fourth Chevrolet Corvette model, the ZR1, is expected to arrive at dealerships next year as a 2024 or 2025 model.

Unlike previous versions of the highest-performance street-legal Corvette with supercharged V-8s, the C8 version will be powered by a twin-turbo V-8 engine — just the second such production engine GM has ever made. Horsepower could top 850. Engineers last week were putting the sports car through severe high-speed testing at Germany’s Nürburgring.

The latest ZR1 will have a different front fascia with a splitter and a rear wing. These spy photos show two different wings being evaluated.
